IT WAS THE SUPERB PASS FROM TROSSARD TO HAVERTZ THAT PROVED TO BE THE HIGHLIGHT OF THE MATCH LAST NIGHT, WITH HAVERTZ HITTING-THE-BACK-OF-THE-NET IN THE COOLEST OF STYLES AT 23 MINS INTO THE MATCH! AND THEN A FURTHER 20 SHOTS, WITH 5 ON TARGET IN TOTAL, FOR ARSENAL, BUT NOT MUCH SUCCESS FOR ALL THE USUAL ARSENAL STAR CULPRITS, WHOSE ATTEMPTS EITHER WENT OVER THE TOP OF THE BAR, OR INTO THE ARMS OF IPSWICH’S SUPERB GOALY ARIJANET MURIC! ARSENAL ALSO HAD 68% POSSESSION IN TOTAL, MADE 670 PASSES, WITH A 90% PASS ACCURACY. IPSWICH HAD A FURTHER 3 SHOTS, (WITH AN EARLY ATTEMPT BY SAMMIE SZMODICS LOOKING DANGEROUS FOR A WHILE, BUT NOT TO BE) AND THEY MADE 318 PASSES, WITH AN 80% PASS ACCURACY, WITH ONE YELLOW-CARD-A-PIECE. SO LOT’S OF ENTERTAINMENT, WHICH ENDED IN A 1 – 0 WIN TO ARSENAL MEANING THAT ARSENAL MOVE INTO SECOND PLACE IN THE PREMIER LEAGUE TABLE!

IT WAS MUCH-OF-A-MUCHNESS OVER AT THE BRIGHTON AND HOVE ALBION VS BRENTFORD GAME WITH A 0 – 0 DRAW, BUT MUCH SKILL ON OFFER NEVERTHELESS, WITH A DETERMINED PERFORMANCE FROM BRIGHTON’S JULIO ENCISO WHO ATTEMPTED EIGHT SHOTS ON TARGET IN THE FIRST HALF OF THE GAME WITH ONE HITTING THE POST, AND MOST SAVED BY MARK FLEKKEN’S EXCELLENT SKILLS, PLUS A GREAT ATTEMPT FROM BRENTFORD’S YOANNE WISSA WHO FIRED IN A BRILLIANT GOAL WHICH WAS, UNFORTUNATELY, TO BE RULED OFFSIDE.  THERE WAS ARGEY-BARGEY DRAMA TOO, AFTER JOAO PEDRO’S ELBOW ALMOST MADE CONTACT WITH YEHOR YARMOLIUK, FOR WHICH HE RECEIVED A YELLOW CARD, AFTER HE HAD PULLED HIS SHIRT. (IT WASN’T A RED BECAUSE NO CONTACT WAS ACTUALLY MADE – THEM’S THE RULES!) AND WE WOULD LIKE TO WISH BEN MEE AND MARK FLEKKEN ALL THE VERY BEST FOR SPEEDY RECOVERIES, AS THEY LOOKED AS THOUGH THEY HAD SUSTAINED NASTY INJURIES DURING THE MATCH!
