INTERNATIONAL OLYMPIC COMMITTEE PRESIDENT KIRSTY COVENTRY HAILS SPIRIT OF ATHLETES

Another look at Kirsty Coventry’s inspirational speech at the beginning of the Milano Cortina 2026 games. 

IOC President Kirsty Coventry called on the Olympic Movement to “stay strong” by adopting the mindset of the athletes who were about to compete in the Olympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026.

“Athletes step out of their comfort zone. They fail, they adapt, they get back up, and they try again, always driven by the belief that they can be better. “Keeping the mindset of an athlete: always learning, always improving, never standing still.” said President Coventry, a double Olympic Champion in swimming, in her speech to the 145th IOC Session in Milan.
